One Piece Episode 1045 Review: A Spell! Kid and Zoro Facing Threats!

One Piece Episode 1045 shows multiple fights between different characters in various parts of the castle. This episode was titled “A Spell! Kid and Zoro Facing Threats!” Before going further, please remember, this review of One Piece Episode 1045 contains spoilers.

A Quick Recap of One Piece Episode 1044

One Piece Episode 1044 starts with the counterattack of Black Maria’s ‘Mari-Apprehend!’ which blocked all the hands of the giant Robin from attacking. While Robin was unable to move, Maria again launched another attack with ‘Oivan-Knuckles‘.

And continue to punch Robin’s face. Unable to bear it anymore Robin quickly back to her normal form and launched ‘Sea Serpent Snapdragon‘ to attack Maria. But Maria easily blocked that attack with ‘Mari-Cade‘ which is a flammable net that again blocked Robin from attacking by blocking her hands.

To burn Robin’s body, Maria attacked her with ‘Mari Arson‘. Unable to attack or defend herself anymore, Robin got brutally beaten by Maria with heavy punches. Not only that, she continues to shame Robin by saying her ‘Demon Child‘, a coward, a burden to her friends, etc. which triggered a sad memory of Robin.

She remembers how everyone since her childhood used to call her Demon, Creepy, and always wanted to shame her for no reason. But, then she also remembers how the members of the revolutionary group helped her to learn punch. She got to learn Fish Man Karate attack and Dragon Claw attack from them and merged that attack into her own technique. Finally, Robin gets back to her senses.

Robin used the palm techniques and create a massive blow to the roof of that room with Mile Fleurs ‘Giganteum’. Maria got startled to see as she thought Robin don’t have any power left after getting hit by her continuously. So, she again angrily launched her attack with Oiran Knuckles and Poison toward Robin.

At that moment, we got to see the first time Robin’s new transformation into a fierce Demon. Robin stopped Maria’s attack with ‘Demonio Fleur’ and finally completely defeated & killed her with ‘Grand Jacuzzi Clutch’. Maria’s other subordinate got shocked to see Maria’s lifeless body and got scared, and at that moment Brook launched Phrase D’armes ‘Orchestra‘ which killed them all at once.

One Piece Episode 1045 Review

One Piece Episode 1045 starts with the fight between Raizo and Fukurokuju on the third floor inside the castle of Onigashima. Raizo asked why he sided with Kurozumi Orochi who betrayed their previous leader Oden. Fukurokuju replied they are a group of ninjas who will serve whoever reigns in the shogun at the end.

This makes Raizo furious, and he asked if that means he will serve anyone without looking into their characters. Fukurokuju said Raizo is too emotional for a ninja and can never become a good ninja like him. Upon hearing this Raizo launched his first attack with Ninpo: Clone Jutsu which made so many clones of Raizo and also replied to him that they have emotions that’s why they are happy. They can happily die for their leader.

In the Tokage port, we see now Momonosuke became a grown man with the help of Shinobu. Besides, on the one side, a fight is ongoing between the Law & Kid with Big Mom. On another side, a big fight is happening between Killer and Hawkins. Killer continuously attacks Hawkins and one after another the clay dolls inside him got damaged instead of his own body.

As every doll is connected to one living person’s soul which is the power of Hawkin’s devil fruit. And that particular doll’s life is on Killer’s Captain Kids’. Because of that attack of Killers, on the other front where Kid, law fighting against Big Mom, suddenly Kid got a big wound beside his chest which startled him.

Hawkins continuously teases Killer to attack him so that Kid can die, which made Killer in great trouble, and he got confused about what to do. Because if he attacks Hawkins now Kid will get injured and if he doesn’t Hawkins will continuously attack him.

Now, we got to see the ongoing fight between Sanji with Queen & King. It’s hard for him to fight both these powerful subordinates of Kaido alone. In spite of that, Sanji continuously dodged the Queen’s vicious attacks and finally launched his attack with Diable Jumbo ‘Concasser’ and also blocked the King’s sword from attacking him.

Now, King gave Sanji a warning to cut off his leg and hands, but Sanji didn’t care and also strongly fought against them. As If this was not enough trouble for Sanji, from another side, Perospero tried to attack Sanji with his arrow while he was fighting with Queen. Luckily, at that moment Zepo blocked him from attacking Sanji as he told him he will take revenge for his good friend Pedro’s death, who sacrificed his life to kill Perospero.

No matter how it becomes hard for Sanji to fight with both King & Queen. And he asked Chopper if Zoro is still not conscious yet to fight. As chopper and other doctors from Animal Kingdom gave him a special drug to recover from his injury. King saw this and ordered others of his subordinates to go for Zoro and get him before he gets cured. To see this, Chopper and other doctors tried to run away with Zoro’s unconscious body, but King attacked their path and blocked it with flame.

Conclusion

In this One Piece Episode 1045, we see little details of various fights which are happening in different parts of the castle. Although it was expected to get much more to see from this episode, anyway the animation is excellent. Overall, we give this episode a 3.5 out of 5 rating.
