Chainsaw Man Episode 10 Review
Chainsaw Man episode 10 starts with a piece of TV news at the Hospital. It was reporting about the incident regarding the attack on devil hunters and civilians which happened yesterday afternoon at the west Nerima building near the Nerima station.
In that hospital, Aki was admitted who was severely wounded in the battle with subordinates of the Gun Devil. Denji & Power was looking after him as Aki was unconscious. Denji & Power were reading manga while having snacks, and they were waiting for Aki to get back to consciousness with a basket of apples.
Suddenly, when Power tried to snatch an apple from Denji, he declined, and over that, they both started arguing and screaming which made Aki conscious, and he asked if there were anyone else in Division 4 who are alive. Denji replied that only Kobeni and another guy with glass were alive only.
He also told that Makima had told him and power to train later. When Power & Denji left the room, Aki who was still in shock lifted his sword and open a little. He asked the Curse devil how many years of his life still left. We got to see Curse Devil who replied he has only two years of life left.
When Aki took up the cigarette packet to smoke, suddenly while lighting up the lighter a vision of Himeno’s memories came which made his hands tremble, and the cigarette fell from his mouth. He couldn’t able to pick that up as he couldn’t control himself anymore and totally burst into tears.
Denji went outside but as he again came to take his manga, he found Aki crying he got startled as he couldn’t understand what he should do. He asked himself will he cry if Power, Aki died and answered he won’t.
Even if Makima died he probably will sad for 3 days and come back to his usual daily life. When Pochita died he was sad, he thought maybe his human heart totally changed, and he just needs now three meals a day, a bath, and good sleep for happiness.
Meanwhile, two other Public Safety Advisors came from Kyoto for Division 4 at Makima’s request. And now Denji & Power went with Makima as she seeks to strengthen Division 4. She thinks it’s a fact that the Hotel incident and recent attack by Gun Devil subordinates prove, the target was Denji’s Heart.
Makima told them she is going to introduce someone who will train both of them. We got to see it was Kishibe who will train Denji and Power. Stopping Makima before telling his name, Kishibe asked Denji and Power three questions: 1. How did they feel when their teammates died? 2. Do they want to get revenge? 3. Humans or Devils which side are they?
Denji & Power just carelessly answered without showing any interest which made Kishibe impressed as he said it’s rare to find people like them in devil hunters. Finally, he introduced himself as the Strongest Devil Hunter, and he is from Division 1, also told them he will be preferred if they call him Master.
Then, he hug both of them and suddenly snapped both Denji & Power’s necks. He said it was the first time he will train devils like them and pour blood into their mouths as blood can cure any injury of them. Kishibe also said Denji is immortal and Power is semi-immortal. He told them to defeat him and that’s their only training.
At first Denji and Power didn’t take Kishibe seriously by thinking the man went crazy but later when he slashed both of them with a Knife by dodging their attack, they understood how strong he is. Kishibe said he will help them to be the best trainers.
Finally, at night when Kishibe said he will come to their place tomorrow, Denji asked Power how many times he died today. To which She replied around 20 times and they both decided tomorrow they will give Kishibe a surprise attack.
The next day morning, when Kishibe came to meet at Denji’s place where Power & Denji both were waiting to attack him surprisingly. When Kishibe was going to open the door knob power used his blood weapon to attack him which Kishibe dodged smoothly, again from other reserve blood, Power attacked him with many blood weapons that were also destroyed by Kishibe with his strong attack.
On the other side, when Denji also tried to attack him got knocked out by him. Kishibe said they failed for two reasons: 1. Power used too much blood which made her anaemic and 2. Denji couldn’t predict Kishibe’s attack. While leaving Kishibe said that’s all for today Denji felt relieved and suddenly a knife chopped his forehead Kishibe said he should not trust a hunter while being prey.
Besides, we got to see Aki with those two advisors with whom he was going to an unknown place where devils who were captured are kept, and they bring Aki so that he can find a strong devil for the contract. They told Aki to get a strong weapon to defend himself later on.
One of the advisors asked Aki about the girl who came to see him while he was in the hospital. Aki told it was Himeno’s sister who came to give him letters that Himeno sent to her, and she wants Aki to read those. Aki found it in the letter Himeno asked if her father was ok and taking medicine regularly.
She also wrote not to worry about her and how he got Aki his ears pierced and how she wants Aki to quit the devil hunting operations, which made Aki emotional again.
On a particular cell which was 108, the advisors told Aki to stop and get into there to make a contract with the Future devil, who is kept there. They also told Aki there are two other members of public safety who got a contract with the Future Devil and one of them gave their half-life span & other one gave one eye, smell & taste senses. The advisors unlocked the cell and Aki went inside. Aki found a big eye looking towards him creepily.
